Minister Hazarika added that some leaders and organizations have misled the general public with twisted and false information and comments during the 2019 protests against CAA.

Digital Desk: Pijush Hazarika, Assam's Minister of Communication and Public Relations, announced on Thursday that a total of 14,30,337 individuals are scheduled to compete in the state's recruitment examinations for Grade III and Grade IV positions.

In a statement to the media today, Hazarika stated that examinations will be held to fill 30,000 vacancies in various sectors of the state government.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had a virtual conference with the DCs and other stakeholders and informed them of all required instructions for the examinations, which will be placed on August 21, 28, and 11, 2022.

The minister urged everyone concerned to avoid creating an agitated environment in response to some organizations' involvement in protests against CAA particularly this time when the government is holding recruitment exams for around 30,000 positions.

Although our ideologies may differ, he said that it was inappropriate to stir up trouble during one of the state government's biggest hiring campaigns by holding job seekers hostage.

Minister Hazarika added that some leaders and organizations have misled the general public with twisted and false information and comments during the 2019 protests against CAA. In the guise of demonstrators at the time, some miscreants even caused extensive property damage in Guwahati, especially Kalaskhetra.

Nonetheless, the people recognized the reality and gave the current government a mandate, the minister continued modestly.

When asked about applicants from other states seeking state government jobs, the minister stated that governments are always run under the laws of the Constitution as well as the rules and regulations of the country, and that if they are eligible to apply for a few positions, we should not stop them. The minister further stated that people from Assam are working in other states under the same rules.
