In another major operation, 21 kilos of heroin worth a staggering Rs 210 crore were taken in by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam and Cachar police in another significant operation.

Digital Desk: The Special Task Force (STF), in a major operation on drug trafficking, seized a large amount of drugs during a search on Thursday night at the Brahmaputra Guest House in Guwahati's Adabari area. Drugs that were suspected of being a part of an illicit distribution network included a variety of banned substances.

Six suspects in the illegal drug trade were taken into custody as a result of the operation. Two females and two males from Dimapur were among those detained; they were recognized as important participants in the unlawful operations.

The 102nd room of the lodge was the raiding team's post. After conducting a comprehensive search, they found and took the contraband.

The STF is currently questioning the arrested persons to obtain further information and break up the drug trafficking network that is active in the area.

One person was apprehended in relation to the seizure as a result of the operation, which was headed by Inspector-General of Police (STF) Partha Sarathi Mahanta and Superintendent of Police of Cachar Numal Mahatta.
