Anand received severe injuries in the incident and he has been admitted to ICU at Aditya Hospital, Dibrugarh for treatment.
Digital Desk: A student of Dibrugarh University allegedly jumped from the hostel building after being fed up with ragging by his seniors for the past few days, reports said.
The student identified as Anand Sharma, a resident of Amguri in Sibsagar. Anand received severe injuries in the incident and he has been admitted to ICU at Aditya Hospital, Dibrugarh for treatment.
The incident reportedly took place on Saturday night.
Talking to the media victim’s mother stated that there was a group of around 5 boys torturing and ragging Anand for the past few days. He informed his parents about the matter and they further complained about the instance to the college authorities but they didn’t take any strict action against it which resulted in this situation for her son.
It may be mentioned that further investigation into the matter is underway.
