A CRPF officer was allegedly stabbed to death and another was injured in an attack by two bike-riding miscreants...

Digital Desk: On September 6, a Central Reserve Police Force officer was allegedly stabbed to death and another was injured in an attack by two bike-riding miscreants in Bordumsa on the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.

Sunil Kumar Pandey, a CRPF member from Uttar Pradesh, has been identified as the deceased. Both soldiers were assigned to the 106th Battalion in Arunachal Pradesh.

Reportedly, Tinsukia SP while speaking to India TodayNE revealed about the incident, he said "The incident took place at Bordumsa Tiniali around 5:35 p.m. yesterday. Assam Police's Bordumsa Police Station launched an investigation, collecting CCTV material and identifying suspects from the Namsai district. Details have been communicated with Arunachal Police, and combined operations have been begun under the direction of Bivas Das Addl SP HQ and Hemant Boro SDPO Margherita to apprehend the culprits." 

Based on preliminary reports, two jawans were dressed in civil outfits when they were attacked with a knife by two unidentified bike-riding miscreants. The miscreants quickly fled the scene, killing one and injuring another severely.

The motive for the attack is still unknown. Meanwhile, the injured jawan had been taken to the hospital for treatment.
