Digital Desk: On Monday, the Union Home Ministry established a committee to investigate the deaths of three civil services aspirants caused by flooding at a coaching centre in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, last week. The committee is tasked with examining the incident at Rau's IAS Study Circle, determining accountability, proposing preventive measures, and suggesting policy changes to prevent future occurrences.

"MHA has constituted a committee to inquire into the unfortunate incident at a coaching centre in old Rajinder Nagar in New Delhi. The committee will inquire into the reasons, fix responsibility, suggest measures and recommend policy changes," the Ministry of Home Affairs said in a post on X.

The committee will include the Additional Secretary from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the Principal Secretary (Home) from the Delhi government, the Special CP from Delhi Police, the Fire Advisor, and the Joint Secretary. They have been instructed to submit their report within 30 days.
