Digital Desk: In connection with an alleged tax evasion scheme, the Income Tax Department searched the offices of Bengaluru-based pharmaceutical company Micro Labs Ltd on Wednesday. Micro Labs Ltd is the producer of Dolo-650 pills. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the drug- prescribed to lower fever and pain- was widely utilised.

According to officials, the tax department is conducting a search that includes reviewing the company's financial documents and statements. The department declined to provide more information.

The Indian Express Media requested questions, but Micro Labs did not react right away.

In addition to operating internationally, the company manufactures and markets pharmaceutical goods and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in 17 manufacturing facilities around the nation.

Dolo-650, Amlong, Lubrex, Diapride, Vildapride, Olmat, Avas, Tripride, Bactoclav, Tenepride-M, and Arbitel are some of its most important pharmaceutical products.
