The 70-year-old can be seen leaping forward from the bridge at Hardiwar's Har Ki Pauri Ghat before jumping into the Ganga river in a video that has since gone popular on social media sites. As the woman swims across to the sides and braves the current, onlookers can be heard cheering her on.

A user who posted the video pleaded with others to desist from trying to mimic the performance because doing so could lead to mishaps and serious harm.

A 62-year-old woman was filmed climbing the Agasthyarkoodam peak, one of Kerala's tallest mountains, in a similar viral video that went viral earlier this year. The woman's hiking experience was described in the video's lengthy commentary, which also described how other hikers responded to her enthusiasm and energy.

A video of a 72-year-old woman ziplining in a park in Kerala's Palakkad has already gained a lot of popularity online. The saree-clad woman can be seen getting ready for ziplining and giving the thumbs up.
