Rajasthan had over 50% of polling till 5 o'clock in the evening, . In the first round of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Rajasthan saw polls for 12 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats.


Digital Desk: The first phase of voting in the 18th Lok Sabha elections took place on April 19. Voting in the first phase held for 102 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats spread across 17 states and 4 Union Territories (UTs). 

Voter turnout in Tripura 

As of 3 pm, Tripura had the highest voter turnout of all the states that participated in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019, with 68.35 per cent. 

 Voter turnout in Arunachal Pradesh 

 Up till 3:30 pm, Arunachal Pradesh has a 55.05 percent voting turnout. 

 Voter turnout in Sikkim 

Up to 3 pm, 52.72 percent of voters in Sikkim cast ballots. Voting for one Lok Sabha seat and 32 Assembly seats is currently ongoing in the northeastern state.

Tamil Nadu's voter turnout 

Tamil Nadu reported that 51.01 percent of voters had cast ballots in its 39 Lok Sabha seats by 3 p.m. In the first phase, elections were held across the state on April 19.

 Voter turnout in Uttar Pradesh 

In eight Lok Sabha seats, Uttar Pradesh had above 57% of the vote by 5 p.m. Out of the 80 seats in the state, eight Lok Sabha constituencies were to vote in the first round of the elections on Friday. 

 Voter turnout in Maharashtra 

Up to 3 pm, Maharashtra registered 44.12% voter turnout. Five of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state went to votes in the first phase.

Turnout of voters in Lakshadweep 

As of 3 pm, Lakshadweep had the lowest turnout, at 43.98 percent.

Voter turnout in Madhya Pradesh 

Till five o'clock in the evening, Madhya Pradesh recorded over 63% of polling. In the first round of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, six of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in MP were up for election.
