Mid-air plane crash at a Dallas airshow captured on video; six people are believed to have died

All of the videos from the airshow capture the audience's shock and horror as the Kingcobra slammed into the B-17.

Digital Desk: During a midair collision on Saturday at an air show in Dallas, two World War II-era aircraft were dispersed into tiny pieces. A Bell P-63 Kingcobra and a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress were the two aircraft that crashed horribly and were seen on camera. The entire incident was documented on camera since the planes were taking part in an air display. Despite the fact that authorities have not yet confirmed it, at least six passengers are believed to have died.

Witnesses' disbelief at what was happening in front of their eyes caused horror to overtake the airshow. "I was motionless. Montoya, 27, who went to the air show with a buddy, stated, "I was in full astonishment and disbelief.  

“Everybody around was gasping. Everybody was bursting into tears. Everybody was in shock.”

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson described the crash videos as "heartbreaking." According to the mayor, the National Transportation Safety Board had taken control of the crash scene, with local police and fire departments assisting.

Coming from the other side, the Kingcobra collided with the B-17, igniting a massive ball of fire and smoke.

The Kingcobra is a US fighter plane that was mostly used by Soviet forces during WWII. The B-17 is a four-engine bomber that was used in World War II raids against Germany. Experts say it's unusual to find either of the planes in flying condition.

The majority of B-17s was scrapped after the war and can only be seen at museums and air shows.

According to eyewitnesses, several aircraft were flying at the same time. According to a lawyer who attended the event with his 12-year-old daughter, the narrator was explaining the significance of the planes while patriotic music played in the background.

The B-17 was seen flying extremely low, according to eyewitnesses, who did not understand what was going on at the time. Then a wing of the B-17 detached and the plane's fuselage fell to the ground, followed by a massive fireball.
