France: In a tragic incident, a migrant boat capsized in the English Channel on Wednesday, causing the death of at least 31 people.
According to French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, there were 34 people aboard the boat. Two of them are suffering from severe hypothermia. He also informed that one among the 34 migrants is missing.
According to reports, the identities of the migrant travelers are currently unknown. A joint French-British search operation of survivors was still underway till late Wednesday.
As per sources, police arrested four suspected traffickers on Wednesday. They were on suspicion of being linked to the capsized boat. Both of the suspects later appeared in court.

The provincial prosecutor initiated an investigation into intensified crime following the sinking.
"It's a day of great mourning for France, for Europe, for humanity to see these people die at sea," Darmanin stated.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson convened a government's emergency panel conference. Minister Darmanin hastened to see survivors in a Calais hospital. The two governments have long been at the edges over checking the loops. Also, both sides accusing the other of not making proper arrangements.
Three French patrol boats were accompanied by a French helicopter and a British helicopter for search operations.
In recent weeks, French and British administrations have pulled up thousands of migrants off the French and British shores in numbers of rescue operations.
