The Azara Traffic Police and Fire Department rushed to the spot.
Digital Desk: A chaotic situation erupted inside a moving truck close to Assam Agricultural University at Azara, when the truck was engulfed in flames. The truck was carrying lentils and it burned completely as it travelling on the national highway.The fire is suspected to have started due to a mechanical malfunction, possibly in the engine.
This vehicle bearing registration number AS 25 FC 1400 was travelling Goalpara from Guwahati at the time of the incident. Authorities cannot determine the exact reason that started the fire.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the fire service staff, along with traffic police from Azara arrived on location. The immediate intervention of authorities allowed them to suppress the fire and stop it from causing additional damage. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
The incident caused a temporary disruption in traffic, but the situation was quickly managed. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the precise cause of the fire.
