The agency has questioned Jacqueline several times in this instance, the most recent time being in June. In addition to the 15 lakh dollars in cash, the ED temporarily attached the actor's finances under the PMLA in April because it deemed them to be "proceeds of crime."

Digital Desk: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) charged actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Wednesday in the extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Following the appearance of intimate photos of Jacqueline and Sukesh, the ED questioned her. According to accounts, she originally denied being involved with Sukesh, but he later admitted that they had been dating. Actor R. Madhavan has since shown support for her.

According to reports, Jacqueline has been charged as an accused in the 215 crore extortion case and a new charge sheet or prosecution complaint is anticipated to be filed by the federal investigation agency on Wednesday before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Delhi.

At a Mumbai event to promote his new movie Dhokha-Round D Corner, R Madhavan stated, "I hope she quickly resolves her situation." This, in my opinion, is not harming the nation's reputation. In actuality, there have been fewer tax raids in our film community. Everyone is working honestly and completely. It won't, in my opinion, have an impact on business. Taxpayers from this sector pay more. "

The ED had earlier claimed that Chandrashekhar had extorted cash from prominent individuals, including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife Aditi Singh, to buy gifts for Jacqueline. Sukesh Chandrasekhar gave Jacqueline Fernandez a number of gifts totaling 5.71 crore rupees from the profits of crime, which included extortion.

Pinky Irani, a longtime friend and co-accused in this case, was sent by Chandrasekhar to deliver the gifts to the woman, the ED had then stated in a statement.
