Informing the media, the Chairman of the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Ri Bhoi District, BB Makdoh, informed, that the residents have been facing numerous problems due to power shortage and irregular power supply by the corporation.


Digital Desk: The residents of over 10 villages under Mawrong areas in Ri Bhoi District, on Wednesday threatened to take drastic action by protesting against the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) on the irregularities of power supplies.

The voice of protesting against the irregularities of power supplies was heard after the representatives of the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Ri Bhoi District met the Assistant Engineer of the Umsning Distribution Sub Division ka MePDCL, Umsning who voiced the grievances of the local people of the 10 villages under Mawrong areas due to shortage of power supplies.

Informing the media, the Chairman of the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Ri Bhoi District, BB Makdoh, informed, that the residents have been facing numerous problems due to power shortage and irregular power supply by the corporation.

"Residents have been very loyal and paid the power usage bills regularly, but the corporation has not done any justice to them by supplying regular power supplies, instead, the public can receive power supplies once or twice a week", Makdoh rued.
