Digital Desk: The post mortem report of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala states that he died within 15 minutes of being shot at and had 19 bullets injected into his body by a mugger. Moose Wala, 28, was shot down in Punjab's Mansa district on Sunday, May 29.

 

After conducting Moose Wala's autopsy, a panel of five doctors came to a conclusion that his cause of death was "Haemorrhagic shock which is due to antemortem firearm injuries as described."

 

The report further states that Moose Wala's body had maximum bullet injury marks on his right side. The bullets had hit his kidneys, liver, lungs, and spine, and he likely died "within 15 minutes" of being shot.

Anonymus gunmen had trapped Moose Wala in Jawarharke village, in Mansa, and opened fire at the Thar he was travelling in, mere days after the Punjab government revoked the singer-politician's security cover. Three weaponsincluding an AN-94 assault rifle, were used, and empty bullet casings were recovered.

 

Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Moose Wala's murder.

 

Punjab CM, Bhagwant Mann had earlier announced setting up a judicial commission headed by a sitting high court judge to probe the incident.

 

Moose Wala was cremated at his native Moosa village in Mansa on Tuesday. Many mourners joined his funeral procession and paid their last tribute while the singer's family members bid him a tearful goodbye.

 

Moose Wala's favourite tractor, which was featured in many of his music videos was adorned with flowers for his last ride to a family-owned field for the cremation.
