Tokyo: Krishna Nagar achieved India’s second gold medal in badminton at Tokyo Paralympics on Sunday. He bagged India’s 5th gold medal after a thrilling three-game win over Hong Kong’s Chu Man Kai in the men’s singles SH6 class final.

Krishna, a 22-year-old from Jaipur, beats Chu by 21-17 16-21 21-17 in the final match lasting a total of 43 minutes.

In the second game, the Hong Kong player built a lead, but in the decider, it was Krishna Nagar’s quality that became the point of difference, as he won the yellow metal.

India's medal tally now stands at 19 at these Paralympics. It has won five golds, eight silvers, and six bronze medals.
