Digital Desk: If elected to power in the upcoming assembly elections, the AAP on Friday pledged to generate 6 lakh government jobs in Himachal Pradesh and pay unemployed youngsters Rs 3,000 per month in unemployment benefits till they find employment.

To put a stop to "inspector raj" and "political corruption" in the state, the party declared that a consultation board for the trading and tourism sectors would be established.

The announcements were made during a public gathering in the Mandi area, which is the home district of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has promised senior persons free pilgrimage to the holy site of their choice.

According to the party, Himachal Pradesh would become "corruption-free" similar to Delhi.

The AAP leaders also pledged to pay panchayat presidents a monthly salary of Rs 10,000 and a grant for development of Rs 10 lakh to each panchayat.

The leaders promised to guarantee the minimum support price (MSP) for farmers' and orchardists' produce as well as subsidies for pesticides, fertilisers, and seeds.

The AAP has already committed to providing free, high-quality healthcare and education to citizens of Himachal as part of its election promises.

The AAP presently rules the nearby provinces of Punjab and Delhi, and it is attempting to enter the state's political scene.
