Digital Desk: Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone turns 36 today. As per sources, the actor was supposed to celebrate her birthday with the trailer launch of her upcoming film, 'Gehraiyaan,' on a grand scale in Alibaug, Mumbai.

However, Deepika Padukone has canceled all her plans for the birthday celebrations in 'Aibaug' due to the rising threat of Covid-19. Since the plans were canceled, the actor took a flight to the Maldives. Deepika Padukone will celebrate her birthday with her actor husband, Ranveer Singh in Maldives.

According to sources, most of the team members of the film tested positive for Covid-19 lately. Due to this reason the organizers have called off the trailer launch of Deepika's upcoming film.

Deepika Padukone's upcoming film Gehraiyaan also includes stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. It additionally features Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in fundamental roles.

Deepika has a line-up of some very impressive films on the work front. Deepika Padukone will next play a significant role in Siddharth Anand's Fighter. In this film she will share the screen with Hrithik Roshan for the first time. She will also share screen with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathan, Project K, that Nag Ashwin is directing.

The actor Deepika played an elegant role of on-screen Kapil Dev's wife in 83. The actress had also co-produced the film.
