Digital Desk: Following the collapse of the Morbi bridge in the state, which claimed the lives of over 130 people, the Oreva firm in Gujarat's Ahmedabad has shut its farm. The Morbi Bridge was updated by the company Oreva. On Sunday, nine people were detained for the Morbi bridge collapse in Gujarat under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Oreva employees, ticket dealers, and security personnel. The Machchhu River suspension bridge in the Morbi area was closed on Sunday. People were seen tumbling into the river below in the images. According to Harsh Sanghavi, the home minister for Gujarat, a criminal case has been filed in connection with the occurrence.

The Gujarat Police have also accused private agencies of trying to commit culpable homicide and culpable homicide that did not equal to murder in connection with the bridge collapse incident in Gujarat's Morbi district.

A five-member committee has been established by the Gujarati government to investigate the bridge collapse tragedy.

 

The management agency failed to properly maintain and inspect the bridge, according to the authorities, and kept it open for traffic on October 26 instead, showing extreme irresponsibility.

According to sources, a private company repaired the bridge during the bridge's closure for maintenance, which lasted roughly 8 months.

Gujarat will observe a day of national sorrow for those lost in the Morbi tragedy on November 2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a high-level meeting that resulted in the decision at Gandhinagar Raj Bhavan.

In the sad Morbi bridge collapse incident on Sunday, over 130 people—including women and children—were killed, and over 100 more are currently being treated for injuries. The incident occurred when a cable suspension bridge in Morbi town fell.
