Digital Desk: On March 16, AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal asked the Central Government's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to impose a ban on the Bollywood film "The Kashmir Files." The Dhubri MP believes that the film promotes 'Hindutva' propaganda in the country. He believes that by instilling communal disharmony and hatred between Hindus and Muslims, the film will breed enmity. "This movie was made only to create communal disharmony and hatred between the Hindus and Muslims," said Ajmal. The Chief Minister of Assam responded appropriately to his colleague, saying, "I'm not sure in what context MP Badruddin Ajmal made the claim and urged the publication of 'The Kashmir Files.' I'm sure he hasn't seen the movie. This film is based on research and is "non-fictional," as it does not depict Hindus or Muslims. It is for 'Kashmiriyat,' which means 'everyone,' regardless of religion. As a result, I strongly urge all Assamese to see the film."
